Below is a summary of the documents you require legalising in order to apply for a Visa for Kuwait
In order to process your visa/work permit at the Kuwait embassy, there are a number of documents that are essential to be legalised by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Once your documents have been legalised, with apostille stamps affixed, your documents will be accepted by the Kuwait embassy in London, United Kingdom.
If you hold a British passport or a NON British passport with UK residency, It is important to have the following documents prepared when applying for your visa for Kuwait:
- Electronic visa – provided by your new employer or Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Kuwait
- A Criminal Record Certificate – either a DBS or Police ACRO
- Your passport – Valid for at least 6 months
- A recent UK General Medical report – issued by any medical centre or GP
1. Electronic visa – provided by your new employer or ministry of interior in Kuwait
Your electronic visa will be sent to you electronically most likely by your new employer. We will need this in order to obtain the permit to be stamped on your passport.

The Kuwaiti embassy will stamp on the back of this document, which you will need to present to the immigration officer once you arrive in Kuwait.
2. A criminal record certificate
This can either be the Police ACRO or a DBS certificate

You DO NOT need to apply for both, either one of these certificates will suffice towards your visa application
The criminal record certificate must be issued AFTER the date of issue of the work permit, or joining family permit from Kuwait. If you apply for this before, the Kuwaiti authorities will reject your application.

3. Your passport – Valid for at least 6 months
Your original passport will be required in order for us to process your work permit. The embassy will stamp on the next available blank page.
Please note, it is very important the passport number matches with the electronic visa permit.

4. A recent UK General Medical report – issued by any medical centre or GP
The medical report cannot be more than 3 months from the date of issue when applying for your permit. The medical report must provide results of each of the tests listed below and also describing the general health to show that the applicant is fit for work in Kuwait.
Candidates with positive results will be considered unfit, and therefore have their application rejected.

How long will the whole process take?
Including having your Criminal record legalised by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the whole process will take 4 working days.
How will you return my documents?
We will return your documents via Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure it arrives the next working day
How should I send my documents to you?
If you are based in the UK, we advise Royal Mail Special Delivery. Alternatively, you can also drop your documents off to us in person.
What is the cost for getting all of these documents completed?
The only document that will require legalising will be the Criminal Record, this will cost £140 for the police ACRO or £150 for the DBS Certificate. In order for us to process the passport visa, it will cost £200. The Medical and electronic visa are supporting documents. The total cost will be £320 or £330 and this includes tracked and signed Special Delivery back to your UK address.
